This small group tour with a mix of wild camping deep inside the Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve and midrange lodge accomodation in Victoria Falls, Chobe, Elephant Sands and Maun. A highlight is also the night under the bright stars in the Makgadikgadi salt pans and the interaction with san people and the local villagers in the Okavango makes this tour an authentic cultural, wildlife and nature experience where you see various landscapes and you have fantastic game viewing opportunities. All activities and transfers are included during this tour. During the wild camping nights our team sets up camp for you in the wilderness without any boundaries. We are visitors in the home of the animals. This is the real deal.

We welcome you at the airport and take you to your accomodation in Victoria Falls (included) where you can relax and unwind from the journey and prepare for the adventures of the next days. You can also the craftsmarket in town or you can do additional activities that you prebooked with us in advance e.g. adrenaline activities such as bungee, rafting, devils pool visit or a cultural experience such as a traditional village tour. In the afternoon we take you on a sunset cruise in a motorboat on the Zambezi River.
A local guide takes you on a guided walking tour through the Victoria Falls Rainforest. You see the Victoria Falls from different angles. (If you do not want to get wet, please bring heavy rain gear). We will also visit The Big Tree. We then transfer you to Botswana. You arrive in Kasane in around launch time / early afternoon, after check in at your accommodation, we take you on a 3hrs long motorboating safari in Chobe National Park.
The Riverfront in Chobe National Park is counting the highest numbers of visitors of all parks in Botswana. Famous for its large herds of elephants Chobe attracts animal lovers from all over the world. With a bit of luck you can even see the elephants inside the river and we might also come across animals such as hippos, crocodiles, all sorts of antelopes and often even the predators such as lion and leopard.
The morning is dedicated to Chobe Riverfront. While you already saw the park from the water, you are today going on a game drive along the riverbed. We then return to your accommodation for bruch. At 11:00h we continue our journey to Elephant Sands. Enjoy the scenery of this unique place. Elephant Sands gives you the opportunity to observe herds of elephants and other animals from an up close distance. Sit by the waterhole and view how the animals interact.
In the very early morning you have a cup of coffee and/or tea. Then you go on a guided walking excursion through the bush of the Elephant Sands Game Reserve or on a game drive. On return you have a full breakfast and time for a last view on the happenings at the waterhole before continuing the journey to Makgadikgadi. After lunch at Gweta Lodge (non included in the tour price) we start the drive into Ntwetwe Pan.
First stop is at the colony of Meerkats, who live on the edge of the Ntwetwe salt pan. With a little luck we have the once in a life time opportunity to observe their natural behaviours and charming personalities from almost touching distance!
After visiting the Meerkats we then continue to the vast Ntwetwe salt pan, which forms part of one of the largest salt pans in the world, likened to being on the
surface of the moon, the sight of the salt pan is truly one to behold!
Today we are up for a special treat: We will sleep under the stars in the vast open landscape of the salt pans (no tent). With the sky like a semi-globe above and around us, we enjoy this awe-inspiring moment and endulge in stargazing. You can sit around the camp fire until you get in your bedroll and close your eyes for your last night in the wild.
Wake up in the salt pan to an unforgettable sunrise. Enjoy the moment and a cup of coffee. And after breakfast we hope to meet the san people who take us on a bush walk where we can learn about their culture and traditions. Around lunchtime we are back in civilization and we start our journey to the Okavango Delta. Half way we have a lunch stop in Maun, where you can have a meal e.g. at the Okavango Craft Brewery and taste our local craft beer and the Okavango Gin.
We then proceed our journey into the Okavango Delta. We might already see some animals as we get closer to our wild camping spot. In the evening we arrive in camp on the side of a river channel where our team already awaits you. Before your first bush dinner you can freshen up. Sometimes we even have time to include a game drive on the first day.After dinner, you sit around the campfire sharing the stories of the day.
It is also possible to fly by helicopter from Maun into the Okavango Delta. Then there is definitely time for a game drive on the first evening.
You are woken up with a warm “Dumela“ (That is the Setswana word for “Hello“) and a light breakfast waiting for you. After coffee, tea and breakfast your guide takes you on a game drive to a local village inside the delta, where you meet your poler, a local villager, who will take you on an unforgettable journey through the channels of the Okavango. Born and raised in the Okavango Delta, our polers and guides show you their home which they are very passionate and knowledgeable about.
Our experienced polers take you on a journey deep in the water system. Enjoy the peace of the delta in a Mokoro, the traditional one tree-canoe. For lunch you stop on an island, where you enjoy a packed lunch and then endulge in a walking safari. In the afternoon your guide takes you on a game drive back to our wild camping spot.
When returning to camp you have the opportunity to enjoy a delightful bush shower – an experience on its own. Afterwards you will be served dinner in the bush. Enjoy the delicious meal cooked over the bushfire by our experienced bush chef and share the experiences of the day in the evening sitting around the bushfire before falling asleep in your comfortable tent with the noises of animals and the bush around you.
Enjoy a last DugOut Canoe tour or a game drive (your guide will let you know depending on local circumstances) before heading back to town. Before sunset you will be back in Maun, where you can sink in your hotel bed dreaming about your experiences of the last days.
This is the best way of exploring the Okavango Delta! A real authentic experience of the delta ecosytem and a unique experience to meet and interact with locals on a personal and non-touristy basis.
In the early morning we pick you at your accomodation in Maun and in an open 4×4- safari-vehicle you head straight to Moremi Game Reserve. It is a 1.5 hrs long drive on a dusty sand track to the veterinary gate. Here we enter wildlife territory and hope to get some first nice sightings on the way to the official entrance gate, which we reach after another 1.5hrs. Your highly-trained and experienced guide will show you Moremi in the next days.You will spend the day on game drives in the floodplains – seasonally or perennially wet, waterways, lagoons, pools, pans, grasslands and riparian, riverine and mopane forests. This terrain makes driving Moremi’s many loops and trails both delightful and, at times, totally inspiring.
Today we will have a packed lunch in the bush on the way to camp. In the evening before the sun sets you arrive in our campsite where your safari team is already awaiting you with pitched tents and cooked dinner. Enjoy your evening around the campfire and embrace this unforgettable experience of being during night deep inside the bush of Moremi. You camp directly in the park without any fence around you.
At any time you can feel safe even if you find yourself within striking distance to wild animals. Your guide is highly qualified and trained by Botswana Guide Association. You sleep in tents with stretcher beds with proper duvets. Daily you enjoy fresh and tasty meals. This is possible because a Back Up Team is with you 24/7.
An early morning wake up with a light breakfast allows you to go on an early game drive as this is the time when the predators are on the hunt. After the game drive you return to camp where you have the chance to freshen up with a delightful bush shower. The team is already awaiting you with brunch so that you can go on your next game drive as soon as the hot midday sun is over and the animals come out of their hiding places again. After an exciting day you return for dinner to camp and sit around the fire listening to the bush and gazing stars. Close your eyes for your last night in the wild.
A last time you are woken up in the early morning with a warm “Dumela” , so that after a quick coffee, tea and light breakfast you can rush on an early morning game drive. You spend the day in Moremi on a full day transfer game drive and return to Maun in the late afternoon/early evening with plenty of pictures and unforgettable memories. You are accommodated in a good midrange lodge or guesthouse with en-suite rooms.
After breakfast we transfer you to Maun Airport where it is time to say goodbye. With plenty of pictures in your bags and memory, you start your journey back home and hopefully taking a part of Africa with you.
