overview

We welcome you at Maun Airport and take you to your accommodation where you unwind and prepare for your safari starting the next day.
You are accommodated in a good midrange lodge or guesthouse with en-suite rooms.

In the early morning we pick you at your hotel or lodge or the airport in Maun. The tour starts at 07:30h with a transfer on dust roads in an open sided 4×4 safari vehicle. In the Okavango we meet up with you meet your poler, a local villager, who will take you on an unforgettable journey through the channels of the Okavango. Born and raised in the Okavango Delta, our polers and guides show you their home which they are very passionate and knowledgeable about.

Our experienced polers take you on a journey deep in the water system. Enjoy the peace of the delta in a Mokoro, the traditional one tree-canoe. For lunch you stop on an island, where you enjoy a packed lunch and then endulge in a walking safari. The Mokoro then takes you to your camp on the side of a river channel where our team already awaits you. Before your first bush dinner you can freshen up. Sometimes we even have time to include a game drive on the first day. After dinner, you sit around the campfire sharing the stories of the day.

Spend the whole day deep inside the Okavango. Explore the channels by Mokoro (traditional DugOut Canoe) and go on guided bushwalks and gamewalks with an experienced guide on the islands of the Okavango Delta. You are woken up with a warm “Dumela“ (That is the Setswana word for “Hello“) and a light breakfast waiting for you. After coffee, tea and breakfast you go on your first game viewing activity (either a nature walk or a canoe excursion). When returning to camp you have the opportunity to shower. Afterwards you will be served brunch.

In the afternoon you enjoy a second game viewing activity often a game drive or another Mokoro canoe tour. Enjoy delicious meals cooked over the bushfire by our experienced bush chef and share the experiences of the day in the evening sitting around the bushfire before falling asleep in your comfortable tent with the noises of animals and the bush around you.

Enjoy a last DugOut Canoe tour or a game drive (your guide will let you know depending on local circumstances) before heading back to town. Before sunset you will be back in Maun, where you can sink in your hotel bed before the wild camping adventure continues the next day. You are accommodated in a good midrange lodge or guesthouse with en-suite rooms.

This is the best way of exploring the Okavango Delta! A real authentic experience of the delta ecosytem and a unique experience to meet and interact with locals on a personal and non-touristy basis.

In the early morning we pick you at your accomodation in Maun and in an open 4×4-safari-vehicle you head straight to Moremi Game Reserve. It is a 1.5 hrs long drive on a dusty sand track to the veterinary gate. Here we enter wildlife territory and hope to get some first nice sightings on the way to the official entrance gate, which we reach after another 1.5hrs. Your highly-trained and experienced guide will show you Moremi in the next days. You will spend the day on game drives in the floodplains – seasonally or perennially wet, waterways, lagoons, pools, pans, grasslands and riparian, riverine and mophane forests. This terrain makes driving Moremi’s many loops and trails both delightful and, at times, totally inspiring.
Today we will have a packed lunch in the bush on the way to camp. In the evening before the sun sets you arrive in our campsite where your safari team is already awaiting you with pitched tents and cooked dinner.

Enjoy your evening around the campfire and embrace this unforgettable experience of being during night deep inside the bush of Moremi. You camp directly in the park without any fence around you. At any time you can feel safe even if you find yourself within striking distance to wild animals. Your guide
is highly qualified and trained by Botswana Guide Association. You sleep in tents with strecher beds with proper duvets. Daily you enjoy fresh and tasty meals. This is possible because a Back Up Team is with you 24/7.

An early morning wake up with a light breakfast allows you to go on an early game drive as this is the time when the predators are on the hunt. We have chances of very good animal sightings as Moremi is home to all the big game including predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah or even wild dogs and with a bit of luck and the great tracking skills of your guide, you will see some of them. After the game drive you return to camp where you have the chance to freshen up with a delightful bush shower.

The team is already awaiting you with brunch so that you can go on your next game drive as soon as the hot midday sun is over and the animals come out of their hiding places again.
After an exciting day you return for dinner to camp and sit around the fire listening to the bush and gazing stars.

Another exciting day of game viewing. While we possible did our game drives on day 6 in the areas west of our camp in Moremi North, we will head today towards the east and explore the Mopane forest of Khwai. This place is an elephant heaven and we often have good leopard sightings around this area. Your morning game drive and afternoon game drive have great game viewing opportunities.

Today you are moving the camp from Khwai to Savute National Park. In the morning our team breaks down the camp while you have a light breakfast and then start your crosspark drive. Around lunch time you stop for a picknick meal and a short siesta in Mababe Depression area before continuing to Savute. You stop for animals on the way and enjoy the change of scenery from green bush and mopane forest to savanna.
In Savute our team puts up the camp and while we prepare a delicious dinner for you, you can have a shower and wash off the dust of the sandy roads. Sit around the campfire and listen to the bush while the sun sets.

By now you are used to the routine of our daily schedule of early morning wake up, light breakfast, morning game drive and return to camp. Followed by brunch, a delightful bush shower, a short siesta and an afternoon game drive.
This time the scenery will be very different as we are now starting to explore Savute (or Savuti). This remote corner of Chobe National Park is renowned for its strangely unpredictable water channel.

The water lows and dries independently oft he impact of water levels and rainfall in the region and is possibly explained with underground tectonic plate movements. No matter the scenario, the Savute region will thrill lovers
of wildlife, birds and the African safari experienced. In Savute you also find a few baobab trees.

Your last day of wildlife tracking on this wild camping tour starts as usual with the early morning wake up with a light breakfast, so that we can be out quickly for an early game drive as this is the time when the predators are on the hunt.
After the game drive you return to camp where you have the chance to freshen up with a delightful bush shower. The team is already awaiting you with brunch so that you can go on your next game drive as soon as the hot midday sun is over and the animals come out of their hiding places again.
Enjoy the last sunset during your wild camping adventure and while the sun sets over the dry Savute channel our team sets the table for your last dinner in the bush. Gather one last time around the campfire and then close your eyes for your last night in the wild

A last time you are woken up in the early morning with a warm “Dumela”. And after coffee, tea and breakfast, we start the transfer to Chobe Riverfront. Around lunchtime you arrive in Kasane after check in at your accommodation, we take you on a 3hrs long motorboating safari in Chobe National Park.
The Riverfront in Chobe National Park is counting the highest numbers of visitors of all parks in Botswana.

Famous for its large herds of elephants Chobe attracts animal lovers from all over the world. With a bit of luck you can even see the elephants inside the river and we might also come across animals such as hippos, crocodiles, all sorts of antelopes and often even the predators such as lion and leopard.

The morning is dedicated to Chobe Riverfront. While you already saw the park from the water, you are today going on a game drive along the riverbed. We then return to your accommodation for bruch. At 11:00h we transfer you to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The drive is about 1hr long plus 1-2 hrs of time that we spend at the border for immigration.

In the afternoon you can explore the Victoria Falls rainforest on foot and or do additional activities that you can prebook with us in advance e.g. Zambezi Sunset Cruise or adrenaline activities such as bungee, rafting, devils pool visit or a cultural experience such as a traditional village tour. We also offer guided walking tours of the falls, if you prefer not to explore on your own.

After breakfast we transfer you to Victoria Falls Airport (VFA) where it is time to say goodbye. With plenty of pictures in your bags and memory, you start your journey back home and hopefully taking a part of Africa with you.
