Your Zambian adventure begins as you land at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka. After a warm welcome, you’ll embark on a scenic road transfer to Kiambi Safari Lodge in Lower Zambezi. The journey takes about 3-4 hours, giving you time to take in the landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, settle into your lodge and enjoy a tranquil sunset boat cruise along the Zambezi River, a perfect way to start your safari experience. The evening ends with a delicious dinner under the African sky.
Rise early for an exciting day on the river. Paddling silently through the waterways, you’ll have an intimate wildlife experience, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. A bush picnic awaits at a scenic riverside location, allowing you to take in the wilderness in complete serenity. In the afternoon, continue canoeing along the river, immersing yourself in the unspoiled beauty of the Zambezi. As the sun sets, return to the lodge for a well-earned dinner and relaxation.
Another day of adventure begins with a bush breakfast before setting out for more canoeing along the Zambezi. The riverbanks come alive with wildlife—elephants bathing, lions resting in the shade, and fish eagles soaring above. As the day winds down, you’ll head to Buffalo Bean Island, where you’ll spend the night camping in the wild. Gather around the fire, enjoying dinner under the stars while listening to the sounds of nature surrounding you.
Wake up to the crisp morning air and enjoy breakfast before your return transfer to Lusaka. A short domestic flight takes you to Mfuwe, the gateway to South Luangwa National Park. A 90-minute road transfer brings you to Msandile River Lodge, nestled along the Luangwa River. That evening, embark on an exhilarating game drive, witnessing predators becoming active as the sun sets. South Luangwa is known for its leopards, and with a bit of luck, you’ll spot one before heading back to the lodge for dinner and a well-deserved rest.
The day starts before sunrise with a steaming cup of coffee before setting out on an early morning game drive. This is when the park is most alive, with wildlife roaming in the cool morning hours. Return to the lodge for brunch and spend the midday at leisure—relaxing at the pool or watching animals from the lodge’s viewing deck. As temperatures drop, another game drive awaits, offering a chance to witness more of South Luangwa’s incredible wildlife in action. The day concludes with dinner and fireside stories of the day’s sightings.
An early start once again as you head out for your last morning game drive, soaking in the magic of South Luangwa one final time. After returning to the lodge for lunch, spend the afternoon unwinding, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences of the past days. In the evening, a final game drive allows you to capture any last memorable wildlife encounters before gathering for a farewell dinner under the African stars.
Your safari adventure comes to an end with a final breakfast before your transfer to Mfuwe International Airport. As you leave Zambia, you take with you not just photographs, but memories of breathtaking landscapes, incredible wildlife, and an experience that will stay with you forever.
